Emilie O’Brien as Dottie

Emilie O’Brien takes on the role of Dottie. She needs your help to get back to her Auntie Hem and little dog Otto.

Émilie is thrilled to be a part of The Blizzard of Oz and to have the opportunity to perform back in her hometown with this amazing cast and crew! Currently residing in Toronto, Émilie is a graduate of the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts. A few of her favourite credits include: Hanna in Freezing, Fraulein Kost in Cabaret, Lindy in Teenage Dream, Gerda in The Snow Queen, Perceval in Lord of the Flies, Frenchie in Cabaret, and Lucinda in Into The Woods. Émilie is also a certified yoga instructor and when not performing, enjoys spending her time teaching in the city. Émilie would like to thank her friends and family for all the support they

1 – What is your favorite part about coming home to Ottawa?
Being able to spend time with my family! I wish I could come home more often, but it’s really nice that I am able to spend more than just a few days in my beautiful hometown, especially during the holidays!

2 – What is your favorite holiday tradition?
We don’t have many traditions, but I really enjoy when my whole family gets together and we have a delicious Christmas breakfast.

3 – Where did you go to school in Ottawa?
De La Salle High School

4 – Describe your character in The Blizzard of Oz in 4 words or less?
Fun&friendly ball of energy!

5 – What is your favorite part of the show?
Love the dance numbers! And when everyone is on stage; we always have a lot of fun.

6 – What do you miss most about Ottawa?
My family (and my dog!)

7 – What is your favorite activity/place to go in Ottawa?
Love going downtown, seeing the parliament hill and skating on the canal.

8 – Did you study theatre after high school? If so, where?
Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts.

9 – Can you tell us something we don’t know about you?
I love the outdoors! Love to go camping, kayaking and fishing in the summer. I ran a tough mudder in 2015 and hoping to run another this summer!

10 – How would you describe a panto to those who are not familiar with this type of show?
A fun, interactive show that will have you booing the villain, cheering the hero and sharing a laugh with your friends & family.
